Your Printer Works Again, I Set It Up at Your Home

A printer should simply work, without you needing a degree for it. To make sure it does, I handle the complete setup: from unpacking and connecting through linking it to your devices to scanning. In the end you press print and the sheet comes out, exactly as it should.

Printers have a reputation for being moody devices, and rightly so. That is rarely your fault but down to the technology behind them. A modern printer is really a small computer that is supposed to connect to the WiFi, to your PC, to the phone and sometimes even to an online account. If just one of these links sticks, the whole chain does not work. On top of that, drivers age, WiFi passwords change or a device update suddenly cuts the connection.

During my home visits I repeatedly find that the setup guide in the box is either incomprehensible or assumes steps that an ordinary person simply cannot know. I take over this part for you. I know the typical stumbling blocks and set up the printer so it works reliably with all your devices. A stable WiFi is half the battle here, because a printer with poor reception keeps dropping out.

You do not need to prepare anything or bring any technical knowledge. Here I explain step by step how an appointment at your home works. My goal is for you to be able to print and scan without frustration after the visit.

This includes an appointment of up to 60 minutes, and in that time a printer can be fully set up and connected to your devices in the vast majority of cases. If it should take longer, for example because several computers and phones are to be connected, every additional started half hour costs 39 EUR. Many people today want to print not only from the computer but also a photo, a train ticket or a scanned invoice directly from the smartphone onto paper. That is usually no problem once the printer is set up correctly. I connect your printer to your phone and tablet so you can print with just a few taps. This is particularly practical in families: the children print homework, the parents the school letter and the grandparents their favorite recipe, all from their own device. Many printers can also scan, that is, turn paper documents into digital ones. That is enormously practical, for example to save an invoice, a contract or a letter as a file and send it by email.
