Will my photos or contacts be lost during the transfer?

You do not need to be afraid of that. Before the transfer we always create a backup first and at the end we check together with you that all important data really has arrived on the new device. We only wipe the old device after you have expressly approved it.

Does the transfer also work between different systems?

Yes. Switching between different operating systems is a bit more involved but quite doable. We transfer contacts, photos and most data and set up your apps on the new device again. Individual apps may have particularities, which we point out to you during the appointment.

Is my old device really securely wiped?

Yes. On request, we reset the old device and erase your personal data so that it cannot simply be recovered. This is important if you want to sell, pass on or dispose of the device. It is only wiped after everything has arrived on the new device.

What does the data transfer cost?

For setting up a new device including the data transfer, our fixed-price package of 79 EUR applies. Securely wiping the old device is included as part of the appointment at no extra charge. With a very large amount of data or several devices, we charge 39 EUR for each additional 30 minutes started. Travel within 10 km is included.

Popular messengers can usually be moved along with their histories, provided the device and the app allow it. We set up the switch so your important chats are preserved. When changing systems, there can occasionally be limitations here, which we address openly in advance.

How the Home Visit Works

So you know what to expect: a typical data transfer usually takes around 60 minutes. With a very large number of photos or several devices, it can take a bit longer – this mainly depends on how much has to be transferred. We tell you in advance so there are no surprises.

Tip: Keep the Old Device for a Little While Just in Case

Do not switch off the old device immediately after the transfer and do not wipe it on your own. We keep it at hand during the appointment until we have checked together that everything important really has arrived on the new device. Only then is it securely wiped.
