Privacy Course at Home, Calmly and on Your Own Devices
Strong passwords, regular updates, spotting fraudulent emails and good settings on computer, tablet and smartphone: in our privacy and security course you learn exactly what truly matters in everyday life. We come to your home, work on your real devices and explain everything without jargon. Single course on site from 79 €.
Privacy and online security quickly sound like expert knowledge that only specialists understand. Yet in everyday life only a few well-explained basics matter: a strong password you can remember, the right behavior with suspicious emails and a few clever settings on your devices. At Technik daheim we take the time for this. We come to you, look at your computer, tablet or smartphone together and practice step by step on exactly the devices you use every day. This way you take home not only knowledge, but also a confident feeling when handling your technology.
Your Course Plan at a Glance
What You Learn in the Privacy Course
We focus on the topics that truly protect you in everyday life. You do not need any prior knowledge and you do not have to become a computer expert. It is enough if you know in the end what to look out for and how to react when something seems odd. We tailor the focus to your devices and your questions.
Strong passwords
We show what a good password looks like that you can still remember, and how a password manager takes the remembering off your hands entirely. On request we set it up together right away.
Two-factor protection
An extra code when signing in protects your important accounts considerably better. We explain two-factor sign-in clearly and set it up for email and online accounts.
Spot phishing
Using real examples we practice spotting fraudulent emails and texts. You learn how to recognize a trap and what to do when in doubt, before you click a link.
Keep updates current
Up-to-date software closes security gaps. We show how to check updates for the system and apps and set them so they largely run by themselves.
Good settings
Together we go through the privacy settings on your devices: location, app permissions and privacy in the browser. This way you only share what you really want to share.
Safe on the go
From public Wi-Fi to the screen lock on your smartphone: we discuss how to protect your devices and data away from home too, without giving up convenience.
Learning on Your Real Devices, Not on Theory
What a Secure Sign-In Looks Like
In the course we do not just talk about security, we practice it. You sign in to your own accounts, set up two-factor sign-in together with us and immediately see how the extra step works. Because we work on your real devices, nothing stays abstract: afterwards you know exactly where to find which setting and how the process looks for you. Questions are always welcome, and we repeat as often as it takes until you feel confident.
- Practice on your own computer, tablet or smartphone
- Set up two-factor sign-in together
- Repeat the steps as often as you like
- Notes and a cheat sheet to look things up, on request

How a Course Appointment Works at Your Place
An appointment usually lasts around 60 minutes and takes place at your home. You set the pace, and we follow your questions. If you need more time, we simply extend in 30-minute steps. No one has to memorize anything, because on request we write down the most important points for you.
Questions and looking at devices
At the start we clarify what is on your mind: a suspicious call, unsafe passwords or simply a good feeling. Then we look at your devices and set the priorities.
Why the Course Is Worthwhile
Damage from online fraud often arises not from complicated technology, but from everyday situations: a deceptively real email, a password that is too simple or an outdated program. More than half of internet users in Germany have already been affected by cybercrime (BSI Digitalbarometer). With a few understandable basics you reduce this risk noticeably and, above all, gain confidence in handling your devices.
- Less risk: spot scams before damage occurs
- More peace of mind: a confident feeling with email and the internet
- Clearly explained: without technical terms, at your pace
- On real devices: you practice exactly what you use every day
- To look up: notes and a cheat sheet on request
- One personal contact: you always reach the same person with questions
