How do I recognise fraudulent emails or calls?
Answer
On request we show you during an appointment, using real examples, how to recognise typical scams: emails that pile on pressure with supposedly blocked accounts and ask you to enter passwords, fake parcel or bank messages with links, or calls in which someone pretends to be a company employee or even the police.
A simple rule of thumb helps in everyday life: never hand over passwords, bank details or money if you are contacted unprompted, and do not click links under time pressure. When in doubt, end the call or delete the message and instead call us or the genuine organisation. You can reach us at any time via the contact page.
